About Holland Lake Lodge

HISTORY
Holland Lake Lodge was built in 1924 as a guest lodge. When it opened, it was a two-day stagecoach ride from Missoula to the lodge. The main lodge burned in 1946 and was rebuilt with the current structure the following year. Power was brought into the valley in the late ’50s, and Highway 83 was paved in the early ’60s.
TODAY
This property reflects authentic Montana, with charming rustic lakeside cabins, a proud main lodge circa 1947, and to-die-for food served in the dining room. Described as a small slice of heaven, this intimate getaway will give you the whole Montana experience: a respite from it all with plush accommodations, stunning mountain views, a jumping point for adventure and genuine, attentive service.

CURRENT OWNER
Christian Wohlfiel moved to Montana in 1999 and purchased the lodge in 2002. Many of you are aware that the Lodge has been for sale. Christian, the present owner for the last 20 years, has partnered with POWDR to transition the Lodge to the next chapter. Together, they look forward to expanding guest services and activities while preserving the unique and special character of what is here now. Christian will remain actively involved in the general operation and management through the transition.
